Keds - A fashion remake of Sneaker Originals
In 1916, Keds created a shoe with a soft rubber sole.
This original sneaker, called “the Champion,” has remained a
style icon for almost 100 years. From movie stars, artists and
tennis pros to first ladies and beatniks, just about everyone
had a pair of Keds.
Women’s wear
Nowadays, Keds offers many choices of shoes both new and
authentic whilst holding on to the trendy, narrow silhouette
that makes the Keds sneaker distinctive.
The new Spring 2012 collection is inspired by two on-trend
themes: Lawn Party and Pool Side.
The Lawn Party theme mixes Keds heritage and 2012 style.
Classic and smart silhouettes with a tailored flair, made from
materials such as linen and Hopsack and designed with plaids
and stripes. The Pool Side theme exhibits new styles with bright,
simple colour palettes or jutes and tropical prints.
Skipper
This sneaker was originally designed in the 70’s and 80’s as a
“sneakerised” boating shoe with moc-toe detailing and collar lace.
The Keds design team have taken only the best details from this
archive silhouette to create the “Skipper”.
This casual style is a sister to the champion and perfect for
spring and summer.
The woven and tie up styles are so cute, great for a holiday, shopping or simply running your day to day activities, and still looking stylish.
The Skipper style is the pair I have in Metallic silver and they are super cute, comfy and are perfect for day wear. Here is one of my previous posts wearing them.

Menswear - The Return Of A Legend
In the early 1930’s Keds introduced the Booster, one
of the first non-leather casual shoes to hit the market.
Originally called the “Yeoman”, this hopsack canvas
shoe with a vulcanized crepe upper provided a unique
blend of lightweight comfort and versatility.
Today, Keds is proud to pay homage to one of its originals.
With the quality, craftsmanship and classic styling Keds
is known for, the Booster returns after two decades as
a timeless wardrobe essential.

London Fashion Week Exhibitions
Here are some introductions to some fun, innovative and gorgeous pieces of fashion that I loved during Fashion week….

J Smith Esq. Highly acclaimed award winning Milliner. Love this gorgeous Cat headpiece!

Charlie Le Mindu. This being his seventh collection, the AW12 collection is inspired by a glamorous vision of 1930’s futurism. He continues to push the boundaries with how hair is perceived within fashion.

Piers Atkinson’s AW12 collection is called ‘Oh My!’ This is super cute, I want one for myself! A bow buckle head band made from Red Ponyskin. His collection of Millinery hints at fairy tale stories. He also debuts his first menswear hats collection with a sloth of bears….

The cutest most fashionable Barbie’s ever!!! A mini collection, I would be happy with this version!

The amazing David Koma; I Love this iridescent sequin pencil skirt! Oh and the Gold brogues Rosie!!!

This Metallic floral print trouser suit is stunning. A fab AW12 piece.

Neon shades and black among fresh white chiffon garments and Clear perspex wedges, a take on the sports luxe trend.

Hot shoes…Block square heels and fan details.

The Rose gold Choker and bright pink, black, turquoise and silver stones are so gorgeous! Mawi is a must have!

Amazing body jewellery, a stunning piece of fashion armour.
Stella Arsenis - Footwear Designer
I see bright things for London based footwear designer, Stella Aresnis, and you’re about to see why!
She graduated from the prestigious Cordwainers - London College of Fashion with a First Class BA honours Degree not even a year ago, and went straight into a Freelance Design Assistant position for Topshop.
Her collection debuts her talent and ability, work ethic and personality. I can’t begin to imagine the hours of time and money she spent making these beautiful Shoes!
She combined two of her favourite things, Leather and Western America, and came up with an amazing and impressive collection. The hand-made collection by Stella has a tough element yet super sexy and feminine, it says attitude without being overpowering and she has put her own stamp on her designs, literally! Engraving hard wears in leather and metal with her own signature, beautiful silver buckles and manipulating and distressing leathers really works and exudes a rustic western inspired collection.
You can also see her amazing collection featured in next Month’s Papercut Magazine that I assisted on, with the talented Rosie Williams.
Stella is a pleasure to work with and I wish her all the best x
